We regularly get the question, how can I upgrade my Tomos Funtastic, Revival, Streetmate or any other model with A55 cylinder and Dellorto PHVA carburettor from 25 km/h moped model to 45 km/h moped or even faster?
To upgrade your Tomos, it is first good to know the differences between the two versions. In this, we will differentiate between a Tomos with 12-inch rims like the Tomos Funtastic and 16-inch rims like the Revival and Streetmate. You don't need to replace the cylinder as this is the same on a 25 km/h and 45 km/h model, but you do need to replace the piston, among other things. If you are looking for a replacement exhaust, look for Tomos A55 specific exhausts because the exhaust flange is at an angle.

Do you want your Tomos with A55 cylinder 25 km/h model to go a bit faster? Replace your manifold(rubber) for the 45 km/h version and fit a Dellorto PHVA 14mm and a thinner head gasket, then you'll drive around 33-35 km/h. If you want to go faster, fit the other parts from the list above to get the factory specs of a 45 km/h.

For the A55, unfortunately, there is not a lot available when it comes to upgrade cylinders. The only cylinder available in this is the Airsal 65cc (44mm). This cylinder is available as a set complete with cylinder head. Both feature huge cooling fins, which looks very cool. If you use this cylinder, we recommend you use the Dellorto PHVA 17.5mm, of course you can also choose to go for a Dellorto PHBG or e.g. Polini CP. In our exhausts category you will find several exhausts that specifically fit an A55 cylinder, due to the angled exhaust flange. An A35 exhaust will therefore not fit.
